We have a membership drawn not only from our immediate villages of Grimston, Pott Row, Roydon and Congham, but also from Hillington, Middleton and King’s Lynn.
Since 2006 we have taken part in the Sandringham Flower Show with a small garden in the gardening clubs and societies class. So far have a tally of ten Gold Medals (six of them also Best in Show).
The Annual Horticultural Show in September is an opportunity to showcase the many talents of our members in growing Vegetables, Fruit and Cut Flowers as well as Floral Arrangements and Photography.
We also welcome and encourage the residents of our villages to take part and demonstrate their skills. There are special classes for children under 16. In addition, we support local charities with funds raised at plant sales and our annual show. We are a friendly group who enjoy a bit of a mardle over coffee and biscuits and welcome new members and visitors.
Membership is £12 per annum and offers great value for money as well as a discount at Wards Nursery, Ringstead. Visitors/Guests are always welcome at £2 per session. For further details please contact Cynthia Jackson (01485 601210)
